EC SoDak | Widespread severe eastern droughts just don’t happen often, as many know and why folks say what they do about the I States. Generally, it seems, somewhat bigger area dry periods out east last for a month or so and then it rains. With the western belt it tends to last for a year or multiple years. Which is fine, we all farm where we do and deal with it. With 2012 being the last extreme drought out east, statistically they are probably looking to the 203Xs before the next one if I remember the data correctly. Unless, of course, one believes in climate change, then they “could” happen more often.
