Subject: Pasture Pines elsewhere?

coast of Maine
Here White Pines that are useless as they have grown in the open are called pasture pines. They are huge and useless. This one was 150 ft tall and a circle of ruined soil around even larger. The stump was near 6 ft diameter. If I could post a video of its take down yesterday I would. The crash shook the ground.Closed on this piece at 10 am,cleaning trees, ripping the soil,by 2pm. Other than hay,It has not been cropped in 100 years or so.
