coast of Maine | Here White Pines that are useless as they have grown in the open are called pasture pines.They are huge and useless. This one was 150 ft tall and a circle of ruined soil around even larger.The stump was near 6 ft diameter.If I could post a video of its take down yesterday I would.The crash shook the ground.Closed on this piece at 10 am,cleaning trees,ripping the soil,by 2pm. Other than hay,It has not been cropped in 100 years or so.
