They knew I wasn't collecting yet and figure that I was maximizing my benefit, so she's getting a lower amount based on her earnings. Once I start collecting, she'll get and increase (1/2 of my FRA). Same with signing up for Medicare, all done online, easy, peasy. You have 3 months before, month of turning 65 and 3 months after to sign up for Medicare (7 months total), with no penalty. | |
