For me, I use liquid to sidedress just because of the speed and ease of handling.

And “here” 8 can generally get 32% delivered to the farm for less $ per pound of N than I can buy NH3 from the locals for.

And if it’s dry, I won’t put it on top. Might struggle to seal it, but NH3 would probably be the best thing to use in this kind of weather.
