WCIL | We have a Case IH 2800 and the manual says to put them as close as possible. I try to get them about 1/8" but you need to spin the coulter and check for drag as things aren't perfectly round or centered. Also shimming the knife to center behind the coulter helps. Case has shim kits but I use washers too. I had a few issues hairpinning this year but made a few adjustments and it helped a lot. We have some that slipped back but wasn't causing issues so I left them. Will readjust next year (they seem to move around some no matter how tight I torque them. | |
