ccjersey - 6/9/2023 22:54 The Ace pump I was working on had a plain nut on the end of the shaft so that’s what I put back on as I reassembled it. Thought there might be some advantage to use an acorn nut, but didn’t have one so I just used the plain fine thread nut. No need for a castellated nut unless there’s a hole drilled in the shaft for a cotter pin to secure it.
