southern nebraska
Little blue currently has no allocations but you are required to submit a water meter report each year and they have a plan if allocations are triggered. Not sure what they have for new well restrictions.
Lower big blue has no allocations and no meter required for existing wells. Also no meter readings so they don't know if anyone is abusing water. However they don't want any new wells or new acres. Some guys just turn on and never shut off and they are allowed to do so in this district.
I have some irrigation but I do believe that you should have an allocation based on the available of the water that you are pulling from and a required meter reading. Would think 25" for 3 years would be a good number. The most that I have pumped in a year is 10" but afraid that I may be over that this year if it doesn't start raining. Average year is 7"
