not even mounted,  just laying on top of the roof.

West Central Ohio
Looks good. Latency is surprisingly low. Looks like your closest ground station is Nemaha, NE.

Satellite tracking site.

KY

It's been a game changer for us here in the hills of Kentucky for sure. Last night was the first time it has gone out during inclement weather that I am aware of, we had high winds and driving rain, and it went out on me for a little less than 10 minutes. Typical rainstorm has never bothered it in the year and a half or so we've had it but this was a deluge.

ND

How much does it cost, and do they have different plans ?

I looked it up $150. minimum, plus $599. for dish.  That is spendy, we are fortunate here, we have
fiber to the farm, internet and TV.  Much less.

I’m paying $90 a month and I’ve seen the hardware does occasionally have a cheaper rate but it’s rare.

Monthly fee depends on your area’s network load.

Have you got a clear line of sight to the sky all around the dish? I'm assuming your trees are leafed out now, what may have been a marginally clear sky last year may now be partially blocked, especially if winds were whipping trees around. Haven't had that problem here yet with starlink but at my other place I had wireless internet. Worked great for +10yrs then one year slowed way down. Tech went up on the roof and the first thing he noticed was trees off in the distance. Over the years they grew tall enough to block the signal. Race the dish up about 5 feet with some steel conduit and everything is fine again

Western-Central Lower Michigan
Some neighbors got a starlink for a travel trailer, and just set it on the ground. Works ok, then they found out they could get T-Mobile home internet for less.... Now they have a backup .....

Direct TV was $600 for the equipment back when it came out too.
