| In as much as the stock market is concerned, I envision white house, congress, treasury, fed & a few lobby types perhaps watching CNBC ... testing the water by asking staffers "how are the phones today?" --a lot of head scratching as there are very few actual traders in that crowd.....a lot of speculation on red & blue state switches....Fed is wondering how to handle the really stupid questions which will be asked by congressmen & congresswomen....& if dow & s&p do not close higher today...be a lot of "gee whiz" (cleaning it up a bit) & several plan B's will be presented...be periods of total silence among groups with occasional periods when everyone is talking & no one is listening..mainly they will work hard at trying to decide what to order for lunch & drag out the dart board after lunch & after markets close. I might be off a little here, but not much. Keep a stiff upper lip. | |
