Subject: Phantom 3 standard compass setting?


NE, Oklahoma		The kids gave me Phantom 3 standard for my birthday. One problem I have is setting the compass setting. (NOTE- I was a pilot of choppers back in the day- work on electronics- retired farmer) just some of my knowledge, computers do kick my butt thou!!!! The Phantom fly's great, just setting the compass in the vertical position is a hit and miss deal for me. What is the trick to setting it in the vertical mode. (ANOTHER NOTE- I lost my right leg back in the day - I wear a prosthetic leg,, which makes it very hard to hold the drone in the vert. position and rotate) this is what I wondering what to do to make it work better. Thanks guys for any help!!!

It doesn't need to be perfectly vertical, you can turn it without spinning your body with it - doesn't seem to matter if there is a pause while you change hands or whatever.
Note once you get a good calibration it can go for months with no need to do again if you are flying relatively local. 
If things get accidentally messed up the app will tell you.

thumb of michigan		A small lazy susan from the kitchen cupboard might make the vertical calibration easy to do?
