Subject: Light Tillage questions

Franklin County, Frisco, IL
I no till corn and soybeans here in the rolling clay of Southern Illinois. I have been very pleased with my no till setup.

I am considering the purchase of a tillage tool to fix some uneven fields, change the direction of some others and fix any ruts that might be created in the fall.

Biggest tractor is a Case 2590 (180 hp) on 300 acres.

Here are my thoughts
- an IH 490 disk, 7.5", probably 21 or 25 foot spacing and pull an Unverferth Rolling Harrow double basket tool behind it OR
- a Landoll Tilloll Model 875, 15 or 18 feet (which ever one i can pull the best)

what are your thoughts. remember just want to level fields occasionally.

thanks Jim
