Owings, Maryland 38.6856 N 76.6752 W | Built a new house 2 years ago, Picked up the new living room furniture today, Got it all situated and in place. This is not the room that we would watch everyday TV in, heck, I rarely watch TV anyhow. But anyway we are interested in a large screen TV. Would like to mount it on the wall, maybe 6' to 8' above floor, living room has a high (17') ceiling. Will be hooked to our cable line which offers HD. Viewing distance will be between 10' and 20'.
Now the question is................Which kind of TV should we be looking for? Is plasma good or bad? Never have really been interested in TV's. So I haven't been paying attention to what is available.
Picked up a sale paper and see a 42" plasma for 1,894 and a 52" TV for 894 and a 32" LCD for 847. Worse than buying a computer. I would appreciate hearing your experiences on this subject. Good or bad. Thanks, Joe |
