McLean county IL | I live in central IL Heavy Cubs and Cards fan base here if you're into MLB im a lifelong Cubs fan and MLB follower/ fan. Especially the NL central division. My son and young grandson are avid Cardinal fans. That's fine as it creates good quality time together and discussions I've attended many games at Busch ( and orig Busch built in '66)
My simple observations of the Cardinals
They bit themselves in the butt with the " Yadi and Puhls farewell tour" couple seasons ago. Wainwright, too. Should have been focused on their payroll with free agents and their farm system playing time. Now they're paying for it dearly
Separately, their radio announcers didn't impress me either. Few nights ago I listened to their broadcast against the White Sox. John Rooney is a darn good broadcaster but he was on assignment elsewhere. So I tolerated the two individuals on duty. Where's good ole Jack Buck when you need him ?
Hopefully the Cards will improve into summer I enjoy heated rivalries in the division. But they've got work to do
Especially seeing how they performed against the miserable White Sox
