Put a lot of them on over my career and never used a seal driver, never had a problem. Maybe experience made the difference.
Those transfer cases did have a bad design in them. He must drive a 3/4 ton truck.

Isn't the problem with GM transfer case up to 2008' or so wasn't it a oiler/flipper problem that wore into case? I thought they has a update kit for it. I had it happen twice to a 1999' Suburban. Second time I learned of a update on them. Seem to me 4x4's that never ran much in 4x4 had the problem. If you used them heavy didn't seem to happen, maybe I'm wrong. |
