On the news tonight there was a segment avoiding scams. Last on the list, that was a okay, was the admonishment that you upgrade your software. I don't agree. Time after time upgrades have made usable software either un-usable or more difficult to use because some genius hid features. Microsoft has to be the leader in this category. Not only have I discovered upgrades / updates are often less user friendly for many users but the upgrade / update often enough over the years has broken the system. It's no surprise that people are reluctant to upgrade or update. Especially when those so-called improved programs don't carry setting forward and take away features. |
