This is a machinery question.

And the answer is the answer to all machinery problems- you can't have too many!

My wife is an uncontrollable gardener, we have bulk meat (1/2 a beef, pig) and then since we are a 100 miles from a supermarket, we need to store the supplies to fit every occasion and until we get back to the city.

Now- not all are in use all the time especially since garden is seasonal.

Upright freezer-for cookies, cakes, butter, baking supplies.
One chest for meat, one for garden veggies.
Bottom freezer frig in kitchen with more baking supplies, bread, frozen fruit, ice cream.
Top freezer frig in basement- frig to store vegetables, extra milk, fresh fruit etc, freezer for baking supplies less often used.

Never, ever want to make that meal and not have the ingredients!
