Subject: Upright vs chest type freezer.

We currently have an 11cu/ft(I think that's right) Chest type freezer. Not one of the huge ones, but not an apartment model. Going to an upright would save some floorspace, and allow me to change a couple things around in the kitchen. What I'm worried about, is that we won't get nearly as much "stuff" in the upright, and I know that upright generally aren't as energy efficient. FWIW, we normally work off 1/4 of beef on hand, and then you've got all the other pizza's ice cream, extra bread, peaches, cherries etc, etc, etc. The downside of the chest is, of course, sometimes it's booger finding stuff in it.
