Tongue, I throw in the crock pot frozen and just put in a pkg., of Lipton onion soup mix.

Water to cover, wait about 8-10 hours or till the "leather" hide peels off easy.

Have not had good liver and onions since I was young. Then, we would go to the locker and pick up the fresh killed, enough for a couple of meals, still fresh and warm. Soak in salt water to take out the blood.

Once frozen, it always seemed chalky and dry.

Heart, who cares!
