If you cut 30 lbs of map, 10% of your seeding population, only spray fungicide when you see enough disease present to justify that application, etc. Just those small changes may save $40 per ac across your entire operation, will it cost you 10 bu of corn or 4 bu of soybeans on average over 10 years, I doubt it. The highest yield is rarely the most profitable.
