| Last year really tested out that theory. There were a couple farms last year that if we had had the option to do so (we don't have any irrigation), we would have run irrigation water on to get the crop to germinate.
The last couple years, fall cover crops were irrigated to get then to germinate. Got established, grew in the spring and sucked precious more moisture out of the soil. Makes one wonder....
