That comment sure made me laugh from salesman. I've only once in my life bought a pickup truck. Financed it for 4 years for 1.9%, sold it to private party end of loan. But I traded it into dealer for another new model so paid trade difference. However I had to pay capital gains tax on my trade. As I bought original new for $20,500. Sold it to other guy for $16,500. Never made a deal that good. However new one cost double that.
