Fruita CO | I have 2 rifles with broken stocks, I know one of them, a 30-40 Krag, was broken by clubbing a porcupine rather than wasting a shell, back when ammunition was dear...I suspect the Savage 99 happened the same way.
Porkies were killed on sight by my Dad & Uncle...
2 Blue Spruce trees were planted at my aunt's cabin in memory of 2 cousins who died young. Porcupines killed both of them...(The trees, not the cousins...) :)
