It has been several years ago now that I did some strip work in Ohio, using an 8 shank Blu-jet subtiller. Actually had an air unit applying dry fert along with NH3 behind the shank. Worked good, but my problem was being able to cover enough acres with the size of the machine. I wouldn't have even attempted trying to use the rig in a spring situation. Had all winter for the strips to mellow, and any voids created by the shanks to collapse. Followed that unit with a 16 row planter, and really had some very acceptable results, and this was before there was much even being said about guidance. | |
