Eastern Ontario | Charles, take a look at Jim's machine. I made a small video of it at the Farm Progress show. It does what you want and with less HP than other shank type machines. Plus it's about the only machine that can be used in the spring ahead of the planter. I'm not sure what type of soil you got, but if you're on heavy clay like me, you really don't want to touch the ground in the spring at all. You can try your machine and see how it works, but in the long run you're gonna want a dedicated machine. Plowing gets old real quick especially if you got more and more acres to cover. That's why I like the strip till system, cause you only work what you have to and you get more done. JIM, it looks like you're gonna have to put on a demo up here;-). VIDEO |
