Subject: RE: Natural air drying beans

East Central Ia
I have heard of a guy who split a bean bin open running his fan in damp conditions trying to add moisture to his beans. So I would guess it could be done. I have never had a problem most of my beans go into one bin and the moisture migrates around enough that they all end up decent between 12-12.5%. This year my be a little different... when we first started there were some green pods in the sample but the beans were dry, 10.5%. I hate green pods... they tend to mold from my experience even when running our fan. But they are going through easy so we are getting them done.
