Excellent statement. SDS hit a bit later here, but you can still see the yield loss in the field, maybe knocking 20 bushel off 50 bushel beans.
There are BIG differences in SDS tolerance and they are obvious this year.
To answer the question, I've seen SDS take large areas of the field down to 10bu/ac yields, so yes, a variety that can't handle SDS could yield that poorly.
SDS disaster stories???
