Woodham, Ontario | The original poster is a custom baler, I'm sure you can find someone to custom chop. We have people come in with a SP Claas chopper, can't even afford the annual maintenance of those. Pull-type are too slow for us. While we do more fielwork ourselves now, we used to milk 150-200 cows with one tractor a TMR mixer and a telehandler.
Of course our dairy cows need a lot more than beef cows, but we also have heifers and dry cows and they they get a ration mostly consisting of haylage and very little corn silage.
You have to wonder why they don't like to eat the stalks... | |
