3208 is in many mens opinion of being an orphan for lack of being able to quote their original words which I am sure you know...it ain't no more.
3116, 3126, 3176, 3196, I question...are they all dry sleeve engines or are the 'different class 3176 and 3196 of wet sleeve design...would be very unique for Cat, but in the same realitively was they made the gone 3208...that engine simply disappeared overnight...Parts centers don't even want to hear about them.
Hence the C 7?
