northeastern Ohio | Google will protect you from bad websites better than DuckDuckGo (DDG). But they also filter what results you see based on other criteria (your search history, your viewing history, ect).
DDG does not track your viewing/searching history, but does make its money from selling ads to put in front of you. They are not targeted based on your history, but may be related to what you are searching for at the time.
I like to use both Google and DDG. When I can't find info with one, sometimes the same search will find it in the other. | |
