Central IL | Dr. Cordonnier says current Brazil COP for corn is about $4.40 U.S. per bushel. I believe that is before shipping costs but not certain. He claims Brazil farmers are afraid they will lose money at current prices in spite of good yields. Doesn't seem to make sense to add more corn acres if that is true. I believe they are slowly adding rail service from the interior to the ports so those transportation costs should be reduced over time. (possibly be a long time) | |
