Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | Always had one when I was OTR. Favorite was a Connex 3300. Currently have a Cobra 25 in my pickup but it doesn’t get turned on very often. When I do turn it on there’s usually some idiot claiming to be on a base station somewhere in the Arizona desert spouting a bunch of nonsense with his 1,000 watt linear. It appears to me that very few of the “foreign” truck drivers have one or would know how to use it if they did. When we are traveling and stop for gas at a Pilot or similar place most of the drivers are running around with some kind of blue tooth headset and talking to themselves. The times they are a changing. Can’t even run two log books anymore. |
