I have heard several talk about the ratio between HDL and triglycerides. In other words if a person has high HDL higher triglycerides is not as big of concern as if the triglycerides were high with low HDL.

When I went low carb my LDL stayed about the same as before, HDL went up and triglycerides went down, which should be good.
