Subject: RE: GPS for spray drone question.

Farmington, Mo
We bought a T40 this past winter and have about 1000 acres of use on ours so far. From what I’ve seen, if a ground rig go travel without significant crop damage, that the better tool. Drones have their niche, but coverage quality and swath width are not nearly as uniform as what a ground rig can produce.

Mind you, I’m in rolling topography where maintaining altitude above the crop is more difficult than in flat ground. Altitude affects coverage width and therefore the accuracy of coverage.

I’m hesitant to use it with herbicides. Fungicide, insecticide work great. Overseeding cover crop now which is cool if it works.

For your situation, I’d say you will still need a ground rig of some sort. Also, the amount of acres you cover in a year will require more than one drone to do ot timely.
