North Central Iowa | This was bugging me some more as I got the same thing you did after my first post. So I took it to my computer science instructor here at my college and showed the file to him. He was quick to say LOOKUP functions work great when you working with simple looks like a number or one word searches. Anything with spaces, special characters, and even single character letter lookups will usually cause issues and not work right. Which is why your cattle one would work so well by looking up a number. He added another column to the front of your mix list and called it mix number and each one has a unique number, and that is what is referenced in the dropdown box on the other worksheet. Once he reconfigured the lookup formulas, it seems to be working like it should.
Downfall is the the dropdown shows the mix number and not the name, but then he added a lookup for the mix name as well.
I've attached the updated spreadsheet to this. Hope this works better.
Let us know how it works. Good luck!
