Have an older computer running a program that is not supported beyond Windows XP.

Having issues with the printer hooked to it which is a HP Photosmart 5250.

Black ink has dried up and clogged and will not print. I have found several Youtubes addressing how to resolve this fairly prevalent problem but sounds like success is not guaranteed.

Don't  need anything fancy and actually pretty fed up with HP printers and their ink policies.

This computer is not hooked to internet but need the ability to print pages from this program that is not supported beyond XP.

Any suggestions or ideas ?

Virtually any modern laser printer will work with a generic PCL 5 driver. Pick the built-in HP LaseJet 5 PCL driver and connect to any network based modern laser printer and you will be fine. USB based printers will be a bigger problem.
