Amherst WI
A young farmer will take over 24 acres I had last year that I got from a friend. It was kind of a PIA for me to deal with and the young guy starting out can use it more than I could. I asked the friend should I give him advice he won't listen to and didn't ask for or should I let him learn the expensive lessons on his own? I want to see him succeed but he needs to learn too, we've all been there.

In my sales role I saw farmers in the 40's who were just basically hired hands, dad dies and was the only one who knew anything about running the business or certain pieces of equipment. That type of setup doesn't end well.
