We always just needed a new batch as they were bad.
Of course we had to destroy the evidence of a bad batch.
When we were kids we always made a batch of cookies to eat the dough, a batch that made it to the oven but not the jar, and then cookies for what we needed.
The homemade ice cream and good food was wonderful but I sure don't want to work hard enough to burn it off again!
