North Central Oregon | I have a 2015 I7 Macbook pro that I am running Monterey OS 12.7. Take a look at the linked discussion. Still a very capable computer. 12.7 is the last os upgrade available for the 2015s though.
macOS Monterey was made available to download on October 15, 2021. The latest version is 12.7 which arrived in September, 2023. The following Macs are compatible with macOS Monterey:
MacBook models from early 2016 or later
MacBook Air models from early 2015 or later
MacBook Pro models from early 2015 or later
Mac mini models from 2014 or later
iMac from 2015 or later
iMac Pro (2017 and later)
Mac Pro models from late 2013 and later
Mac Studio
