Subject: John Deere Gen 4 monitor losing Softkeys from ISOBUS

Bovina, TX

We are using the armrest monitor in a Deere 8R 370. We used a Trimble/Mueller isobus controller for the strip till rig. When you first turn on the tractor all of the icons or softkeys appear in the arm rest monitor in the VT screen. After about 10 seconds the icons or softkeys disappear.

The Deere display is pulling them over as an aux N function. We have turned everything off that we can find in the Deere unit to not use the aux-N controls but it is still pulling them off the screen.

We have worked around this temporarily by giving them an auxiliary function to work on the armrest. The only problem with that is you cannot see what Softkey is assigned to what button. You can only see what function it is activating on the VT screen.  And it only allows 4 controls on the armrest. We need about 3 more controls.

How can you turn off this function entirely on the Deere Display?

There is a PRO 700 that we use for a different function in the tractor. When we tied the ISOBUS controller into this it worked perfectly. So we know it is Mother Deere that is giving us the issue.
