Subject: RE: Ear Corn in Roller Mill

100 miles north of the NYC crapper
We had a New Idea grinder attachment that was on the back of a mounted picker when I was a kid.
I seem to remember having the grinder as a stand alone implement we used to grind ear corn with a pto shaft we used to grind corn before getting the mounted picker. Regardless, it was replaced with a sheller unit on the back of the picker. Used to have to take it off the tractor to dismount the picker in the off season.the rear grinder and sheller mounted similar to a fast hitch with 2 prongs into the picker frame. Below the axel mounts.
This was back in the early 60s I was 8-10 years old. I remember dad being black from the corn dust from running the thing. I got to drive it the last year we had it. Don’t remember it as a fun experience.
