SE Indiana | My uncle was telling me he was having flashbacks. Said he went down to Louisville and bought a couple hundred head of feeders in 1983 after harvest to feed over the winter. Fats skyrocketed and he made 38 grand off them which felt like a fortune at the time. Next fall he went down to rinse and repeat but had to pay a fortune for feeders. By the time he had them finished he said the bank made $5800 in interest and I bucket fed 200 head of fats twice a day all winter for nothing. He has a brand new barn sitting empty right now lol | |
