Have an older jaylor mixer that we use to process round bales to feed goats in concrete bunks. Flight on the vertical auger is shot and broke off the center tube. Is there anyone who sells replacement flighting to weld back on a good center tube. Mixer isn't worth $5400 for a new screw and I'm not afraid to put some rod and sweat equity into it but a pile of cash isn't on the menu
Me - - - I'd be tempted to weld the old flighting back in and skin it with some new material.
That would just cost you maybe a 1/2 sheet of what 3/8" (4 x 8' sheet) which should be a LOT cheaper than buying a
pre-bent bunch of flighting.
(then I've done a lot of welding so I don't see than as a big problem) |
