Head out west where cattle have to earn their living and you can find alot of good genetics that still have the maternal angus traits. You can raise feeders good enough you dont need someone’s name on them to sell!!! We have alot of cows that will go to 15+ years old.. look like they are in their prime and still raise a calf like they are in their prime.
Look into there program… there are a lot of seedstock operations that get feedlot based…
The angus breed has been pushing the terminal line to hard… they are a maternal breed and should focus on that.
