X2 I have found out real quick that scuzzy animals will last a hell of a lot longer may not look pretty but they do the job
Couldnt agree more. 2 different ranches. 1 AIs using the best growing genetics, trims hoofs, creep feeds, gives the cows a extensive vaccination program, supplements 5 lbs of corn a day, deworms on a schedule always has mineral out, religiously watches all the heifers have there calf and keeps them even if they need help.
The other 1 gives them a hay bale if it doesn't rain.
The second farms cows are going to thrive anywhere they go.
The first farm not so much. |
