| I have thought about this before, and what I believe it shows is that land, gold, and other "hard" assets are seriously undervalued.
I am not going to mortgage what I own to buy more, but I will keep buying the land price dips and not feel bad about it as I am able.
Another number to look at is how much the US national debt is, and what the total yearly value of our farm production is as a percentage of that.
Or the US balance of trade deficit with China.
Some staggering numbers, and ones that make commodities look cheap.
