Sad day today, the former Rock Island Sale Barn burnt this afternoon. My first memory of going to the Sale Barn was there. We used to haul in fat cattle on Sunday nights. Mixed reports on what it was currently used for. Some say it was a layover for livestock shipments and there was a report of a cow on the loose.
Seems lots of sale barns go up in flames when they need replaced or the usefulness is over. |
