Oh ye of little faith! ;-) These steers are the product of some good Hereford grass genetics. Here is another photo from Feb 2, about a month ago, of my female group which has cows and last May/June heifer calves. This group has had ZERO grain in the last 4 or 5 months. They don't need "gentling". Their condition is from hay only, no silage, etc. The cow, #88 on the left is the dam of one of the steers in the photo above.
