SW MN | Getting a small group of year old Heifers in a few weeks. The facility I am using has a bunk inside the barn separating the hay storage area and the pen where they will be kept. My question is the way the bunk is set up you are feeding them right at ground level or at there feet . There is a neck rail and its built up kind of like a concrete J bunk . Is this okay or should I re- configure it and get it so the feed is going to be say 15"-30" off the ground. Thanks for the replies | |
