ne iowa | 8 year old helped with a difficult calving on the dairy. A farm girl but first time actually involved with calf puller running the rachet. After pushing calf back in to access feet it was delivered alive. Her uncle then called and had a black heifer calving and now being trained was once again rachet puller and again calf was saved. Cleaning up in the milk house later and asking Grandma questions about the problems and placenta expulsion etcetera she was deep in thought. As she left to go back to the house finally exclaimed, that’s it Grandma I am going to Adopt! | |
