Subject: Killing oats with paraquat

Got a small field of covercrop oats I want to kill. I know roundup is normal and what I always use. Just wondering if a high rate/ and plenty of water would do a ok job of quicker killing the oats? Any one tried it? Oats are 6-12 inches tall
